How time is flying! I wouldn’t say I’ve been busy, studying abroad has little contact hours, but I’ve certainly been making the most of what the city has to offer.
Music for the post, two more Danish artists;
First, a relaxing electronic tune from Trentemøller and second, the more upbeat electronic work of Kasper Bjørke.
A few things to know about Copenhagen:
- There is always construction maintenance occurring all over the city. If its not road barriers, its scaffolding and its most frustrating (but yes understandable) when it’s historic restorations. You’re probably thinking, but isn’t that standard for all big cities? Most definitely, but seemingly it is more pervasive here.
- It is legal to smoke in bars which have a smaller capacity (I think its less than 40sqm. I have found this most peculiar (counter intuitive?) because these venues tend to have less airflow or ventilation.
- Hmm… I had many more points but I seem to have lost my train of thought…to be continued later…
Frederiksborg Slot
Frederiksborg slot was absolutely beautiful. The grounds and the building itself were superb however the exhibit inside was not remarkable. It was however memorable for having a host of ugly life size portraits of various members of the Royal family.

Malmo
Malmo was most uneventful. It is a very small city and has little to offer aside from three parks located in the city centre.

Carlsberg Brewery
Carlsberg Brewery failed to meet expectations although it is located in the beautiful surrounds of Fredericksburg and has fantastic grounds. The highlight was definitely the beer bottle collection.

"J-Day"
J-Day is the annual launch in Denmark of Tuborg's Christmas Brew. It is a wild evening all over Denmark but particularly in Copenhagen. Carlsberg puts on a parade in the city and employees drive around to bars and cafes singing a traditional Tuborg Christmas Brew song and handing out free beer to get the festive season started.

| Jaegersborg Deer Park...oops, apologies, I forgot to get a picture with deers in it. |
TIVOLI
Tivoli Gardens is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden. It is Scandinavia's most popular attraction. The park opened in 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world.
It is a must see for all visitors. It doesn't feel overcrowded and you almost never have to wait too long for a ride. It is also most enjoyable to simply walk through and take in the atmosphere.

Other activities...
Plenty of great bands to see and I've been fortunate to catch a few. I've had a blast! And fortunately tickets here are much, much, cheaper.
